Channelling Chanel

Photobucket

So I found this beauty two days ago at the newly re-vamped bondi junction markets...$70 for this vintage red silk Chanel shirt...I'm in love...
As I was looking through these photos I actually noticed I was being a bit of a Chanel whore with my J12 Wristwatch on..aha...
A girl can never have enough Chanel..

These are photographs from a few weeks back now but they have only just been uncovered into the realm of facebook by my dear friend Lily...I made this earring about two month ago out of bits of chain and a couple safety pins after admiring some much simpler chains at fringe bar markets, a must-do if you live in or intend to visit Sydney...I'm planning on a little surprise with these earrings in the future, so keep an eye on She Like Menagerie...
As for this week, I have been frantically cramming in bits of french and technology for my assessments as well as struggling to finish off my art major work...so please don't expect a lot from me this week due to my life's busy nature...however I can imagine myself later on in the week spending hours on end procrastinating and blogging just a little bit...maybe a lot...

Encore Encore!: RP/Encore

Reid Peppard is not your ordinary jewellery designer/taxidermist...She in fact is one of my most favoured designers ever...

"Anyone who actually reads about these pieces will understand that most of what I do is simply preserving (with great care) creatures that would otherwise be left to rot and ruin in the streets of London." - Peppard to "You might like this"

I love the beauty she finds in such seemingly repulsive animals, taking the avant-garde to a whole new level..You may have seen Lady Gaga sporting one of her rat hair pieces in her film clip Bad Romance...Not to mention her envy-worthy connections with Viktor Vauthier, who I might add is in my top three list of photographers...
I would LOVE to own one of her rat coin purses, I might have to look into Australian quarantine regulations for that one..
Reid Peppard you are amazing

Wanger

So the title sounds a little dirty..ok..but really I was going for an Alexander-Wang-desc kind of look with sweat pants, leather, boots and a loose side plait of which I believe the frosted, or rather orange tips of my hair ruined the whole look...which is why I have changed my hair colour back to normal...back to black babyyy
So on this disgustingly cold night of which these photographs were taken, I had spent a lovely little date night with the wondrous girl i call a friend, Camilla...We saw a movie and had a very chilly walk home and things got interesting when I ate some lovely mushy risotto out of her fridge...I will leave you with a little excerpt from Judith Wright's poetry..."Woman to Man"...figure it out...

The eyeless labourer in the night,
the selfless, shapeless seed I hold,
builds for its resurrection day -
silent and swift and deep from sight
forsees the unimagined light.

So I haven't really been posting a lot lately due to the hectic nature of my school assessments at the moment (I should probably be studying for my maths assessment tomorrow) but I'm going to leave you until whenever I get back on my blog with a lovely little post-saturday night outfit post and my designer post below...If that made any sense to you...

This was an outfit chosen straight out of Camilla's closet once again...visit her at Mystery Bruises...Vintage Red velvet is deliciously good looking

I want to know what you guys want me to post in the very near future, so leave some suggestions kids :)

Kiel Mead is a wondrous designer and I have decided to share my love of his jewelry pieces with you...Living and working in New York, Kiel takes objects you would never consider beautiful let alone something you would want to wear and turns it into an artform, from drill bits to chewing gum to retainers, cast in gold and silver, these beauties are amazingggg...I wouldn't mind meeting this curious man one day
His pieces are available at online store Areaware
